Asakura Fumio (1883-1964), a famous Japanese sculptor, the first President of Japan Art Academy, was an admirer of Wu Changshuo's art. In 1921, Asakura Fumio made two bronze bust statues of Wu Changshuo, one of which remained in Japan, and the other was carried to China to dedicate to Wu Changshuo. Wu put the statue in Xiling Seal Engraver's Society, and the Society especially chisel a niche on one side of the Tiny Dragonwell Cave to store the statue, but the statue was lost during the Cultural Revolution. After Asakura Fumio's daughter Asakura Kyoko heard the news, she was very sorry for it and remade a Wu Changshuo bronze bust statue of 65cm high. In November 1980, president of Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun Kobayashi visited Xiling Seal Engraver's Society for three times as the head of the "Wu Changshuo Bronze Statue China Visit Group" with group member of Aoyama Sanu, Murakami Mishima, Kobayashi fighting, Mei Shushi, etc., and held the presentation ceremony in the Enjoyment Pavilion. Since then, the bronze statue of Wu Changshuo which is a symbol of the relationship of Chinese art and Japanese art narrow strip of water, was placed in the Wu Changshuo Memorial Room (Enjoyment Pavilion) of Xiling Seal Engraver's Society.
