Qi Gong "Ink and Wash Painting of Bamboos and Rocks"


Qi Gong (1912-2005), whose family name was Aisin Gioro, styled Yuanbo or Yuanbai, was born a royal descent of the imperial family in Qing Dynasty, and lived in Beijing. As a famous literary historian, painter and cultural relic connoisseur he was good at calligraphy, painting and old-style poetry, whose calligraphy was cool and bright in pattern and style, elegant powerful and beautiful, which was unique in his own style. Qi was elected the sixth president of the Society in 2002.
