Rubbings of Three Elders' Stela in Han Dynasty

The first collection of the Society that is also the top-one treasure of it is the "Three Elders' Stela in Han Dynasty" which is known as the "No. 1 Stone in Eastern Zhejiang Province". It was unearthed in the 2nd year of Xianfeng (1852) in Qing Dynasty in Yuyao, Zhejiang. In 1921, Japan curio dealer wanted to purchased it and shipped it to Japan. Immediately after Ding was informed of the news, he and other members discussed and mobilized the community to raise funds to redeem it, and in less than a month, they raised 11,270 silver dollar. Wherein 8000 yuan was used to buy the stone, and the balance was used in the construction of a storehouse to preserve the stone. In the autumn of 1922, Three Elders' Stela in Han Dynasty was officially stored in Xiling Seal Engraver's Society. This was a model case of gathering social powers to protect national cultural relics, and the perfect portrayal of Xiling spirit.
