Zhang Lu'an (1901-1962), was styled Zuying, whose studio was called Wangyun Hut. Born in Zhejiang Cixi, and as the head of "Zhang Tong Tai Medicine" and the Shanghai "Yi Yuan Ginseng Shop", Zhang was especially addicted to stone carving regardless of his family business, He spent his whole life in wide searching and collection of ancient collection of impressions of seals by famous seal engravers and seals, the number and taste of which are incomparable, thus known as "the No. 1 in China". After Mr. Zhang died in 1962, his wife Mrs. Ye Baoqin followed his enjoin before his death and donated his collection of nearly 2000 volumes of 433 books, and 1525 seals to Xiling Seal Engraver's Society. Among them, there are "Fang Qing Shi Ci" by He Zhen in the Ming Dynasty Ding, "Yan Yun Gong Yang" by Ding Jing in Qing Dynasty and the five-sided engraving miracle of "Yan Yi Tang" by Deng Shiru, as well as the surviving records of China's earliest raw seal ancient royal seal rubbings - Gu's Collection Book of Ancient Seals compiled by Gu Congde and other precious collection of impressions of seals by famous seal engravers. With gratitude to Mr. Zhang's selfless dedication, the Society specially built a chamber to preserve his collection, and the studio name "Wangyun Hut" was handwritten by the president Mr. Zhang Zongxiang at that time to express the gratitude on behalf of all the members of the Society.
